All events are free and are geared for both young and old alike. Friday evening entertainment begins at 5:00 pm with an Opening Ceremony with a Patriotic Tribute to our local veterans followed by 50’s and 60’s music by the Recycled Teenagers with the Little Miss and Mister Contest at 7 PM. The David Wayne and Blackburn Road Band completes the evening with free music from 8 PM to midnight.
Saturday morning begins with a Chili Cook-off Contest near the Log Cabin and registration for the Pie and Cake Contest in the small shelterhouse, both starting at 10:00 AM.
The ever popular Dog Show begins at 12 noon on the Main Stage. Sponsored by the Holland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, all dogs are welcomed and must be on a leash.
Sign up for the Kiddie Tractor Pull and Horseshoe Tourney are at 12 noon. The Pull and Pitch each begin at 1:00 PM along with free games for kids including: Egg Toss, Sack race, 3-legged race, and Water Balloon Toss.
Registration for the WBDC Corn Hole Tourney is at 1:00 PM with the event starting at 2:00 PM.
A free magic show by Bob Ahlemeier, Magic With Style will be at 2:00 PM on the Main Stage near the new Park Pavilion.
Gospel Sing will start at 4:30 on the Main Stage with Joyful Noise, Methodist Brass, and Glory Bound performing.
Local talent will have an opportunity to shine at the Puttin’ On The Hits at 6:00 pm on the Main Stage.
Joe Lueger’s Band, ????, will perform in the Large Shelterhouse from 7-8:30 pm for the Middle-school and High-school age kids, followed at 9:30 by the band Naked.
Fire and Ice , a local favorite, will perform on the Beer Garden Stage from 8 PM – midnight with a half hour intermission for the fireworks show around 9 PM
Sunday morning begins with a Community-wide Church Service at the Holland Park Pavilion at 9:30 am. Following the church service, units may begin lining up at 11:00 am on Kentucky Street in front of Blesch Implement for the one-mile-long 2:00 pm Parade. Parade awards will be announced at the Park Pavilion followed at 4:00 pm by the Raffle Drawing. The Closing Ceremony will follow, concluding with the Burial of the Time Capsule.
The Beer Garden, operated by the Holland Volunteer Fire Department will open at 5:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Admission is $2.00 per person. You must be 21 years of age to enter. Beer Garden closes at midnight.
Community Fest t-shirts are available for purchase through the Fire Department for $10.00 each. Four children's sizes available: 6-8; 10-12; 14-16; Small Youth. Five adult sizes available: S, M, L, XL, 2XL. Four colors: Red, White, Cream, or Heather Gray. Email the fire department to place an order at hollandvfd@psci.net.
