Town of Holland 150th Anniversary Celebration

Held at the Holland Park
Have you started looking for your Centennial Costume from 25 years ago? Now's the time! Everyone is encouraged to dress in old-fashioned clothing for the Opening Ceremony on Friday, September 18, 2009, at 5 PM at the Holland Park Pavilion and also for the Community Church Service on September 20, 2009, at 9:30 AM also at the Holland Park Pavilion. The Opening Ceremony will include presentation of the American Flag by our own American Legion Color Guard with assistance from the National Guard, Fire Department, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Our founder, Henry Kunz, will be present to speak along with recognition of local dignitaries and several musical numbers. Plan to attend!
Food Stands will open at 5 PM on Thursday and Friday
Breakfast will be served at the Park on Saturday morning beginning at 7 AM
Community Church Service at Holland Park Pavillion on Sunday at 9:30 AM

Events in the Planning Stages for 2009 include: History Book, Cook Book, Quilt Display, Food Cook-off, Baby Contest, Queen Contest, Parade, Fireworks, Commemorative Postmark, Opening Ceremony Thursday evening; Time Capsule; Closing Ceremony Sunday afternoon following the Parade.
